Technical Analyst – Digital Manufacturing

Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our ICT team for the position of Technical Analyst – Digital Manufacturing, to operate as part of a cross geography team providing support for the Digital Manufacturing environment across our engineering system landscape including multiple aircraft platforms at all stages of the system life cycle (Internal Feasibility through to Operational System). This will encompass the support of both Internal and External Engineering Design activity.  Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•Administration of the system environments required to provide secure areas for development activities.
•Administration of the system / software transport mechanisms for promoting developments and fixes from the development environments through QA/test and on to live environments.
•Performance monitoring of Development, QA and Live operating environments with the implementation where necessary of appropriate improvements.
•Creation and maintenance of appropriate security profiles for all environments.
•New project involvement in the areas of installation/creation of new system environments.
•Active contribution to the evolution of our entire engineering system landscape.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

•Post-16 qualification in a technical-based subject area essential
•HND/C or Degree level qualification desirable
•Strong team player with well-honed inter-personal skills
•High degree of motivation and a proven self-starter
•Committed and flexible in respect of working hours to allow for support of out-of-hours activities
•Hands-on experience of CATIA / VPM configuration and support of the extended engineering product set (Enovia 3Dcom – V5 DMU etc). Exposure to PLM solutions and subsequent knowledge in this arena would be a benefit
•Experience of working within ICT in a manufacturing engineering environment using Digital Manufacturing principles and methodologies
•Thorough understanding of modern computing environments, tools and techniques
